✔️ How does Elimate 5% Cream work?

Permethrin, the active ingredient in the cream, works by disrupting sodium ion channels in the nerve cells of the mites, causing paralysis and death of the parasites.

✔️ Side Effects of Elimate 5% Cream

Common side effects may include mild and temporary burning, stinging, itching, or skin redness. In rare cases, difficulty breathing or sensitivity to light may occur.

✔️ Quick Suggestions:

• Permin 30gm Cream is prescribed to treat scabies, a condition caused by tiny insects infesting the skin.
• The lotion form can also treat head lice.
• Use the cream as directed by your doctor, and if the condition doesn’t improve after 14 days, a second treatment may be recommended.
• Apply a thin layer of the cream over the entire body and leave it on for 8-14 hours before bathing.
• Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, or mouth, and rinse with water immediately if it does.

✔️ Indication of Elimate 5% Cream

Elimate 5% Cream is used for the treatment of Pediculosis (head lice infestation) and scabies (skin infection).

✔️ Pharmacology

Permin 30gm Cream is an antiparasitic that kills the mites and their eggs responsible for causing scabies. It also effectively eliminates head lice that can attach to and irritate the scalp.

✔️ Dosage of Elimate 5% Cream

Dosage for Adults

• For scabies, apply a full 30g tube to all skin areas from the neck to the toes and wash off after 8-14 hours. Reapply after 7 days if needed.
• For head and pubic lice, apply to washed hair, leave it for 10 minutes, and rinse. Reapply after 7 days if necessary.

Dosage for Children

• Aged 12 years and older: Use a full 30g tube.
• Aged 6-12 years: Use up to half a tube.
• Aged 1-5 years: Use up to a quarter of a tube.
• Aged 2 months to 1 year: Use up to an eighth of a tube.
• Apply from the neck down and wash off after 8-14 hours. Reapply in 7 days if necessary.

✔️ Administration of Elimate 5% Cream

Elimate 5% Cream is for external use only. Apply it as directed by your doctor. Make sure to check the label for specific instructions before use. Clean and dry the affected area, apply the cream, and wash your hands afterward unless the hands are in the treated area.

Patients with ragweed (pollen) allergy should use Elimate 5% Cream with caution.

✔️ Contraindications

Do not use Permin 30gm Cream if you have a known allergy to any of its components.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

In the absence of specific studies in pregnant women, its use in pregnancy should only follow medical advice. It is not known whether permethrin is excreted in human milk so it should not be used in nursing mothers.

• People with ragweed or chrysanthemum allergies may be more sensitive.
